Just so its out there for others who search for it

I took my wife to hawaii after our wedding, with only her K-1visa, we also boarded the Pride of America for a inter hawaii island cruise. she only carried her passport with K-1 visa. No problems, i called CBP before the trip and they said no issues with embarkation or departure should be expected becuase it is a domestic voyage made by a US flag vessel. unless the ship actually clears a foriegn port it will always be domestic voyage

flying to hawaii is no issue either becuase it is domestic travel. unless they actually land and pass customs of a foriegn country it is domestic travel, even if they are forced to land in Mexico unless Mexico custom officals clear you into mexico this is still domestic travel.
