Hello, I am inquiring about tourist visa. I've been married for 3 years now to an American citizen. He has a permanent residency here in Philippines. We have all assets here in the Philippines. We are planning to visit my in-laws there U.S as I have never met them in person yet as well as just want to travel for leisure, also. We don't have intentions to stay as we have many plans here in Philippines. My question is, will they grant my visa? We don't want to process IR or spousal visa as we don't have plans to live there. IF we did we supposed to apply long time ago but we really dont have plans to stay. Please advise me thanks.

Shane.

I was able to get my ex filipina GF a single entry tourist visa back in 2006. I was living and working in Philippines. I had the means to support her upon her coming to USA. What you must show is reason you will not over stay in the USA. You mentioned Assets that's good. We used Blue Horizons tours in Cebu to process and prepare her for her interview. costs are minimal for what they offer as they will interview you similar to the Embassy. Your husband needs to have money in an account as you will need to as well. Remember, they are looking for reasons you will over stay. So assets, property assets, good job in Phils or business will help you as well.

Good luck

Hi there! Same here we are not intending to live in the US because of the nature of my hubby's work so we prefer that I live here in PI and keep my economic, social and family. I tried applying for a Tourist Visa last August 2011 but the CO immediately denied me just knowing that I am a USC wife. I brought many evidence of strong ties but he didn't bother looking at them. I told him that I am not intending to live in the US. Maybe I didn't convince him that much. I am trying again this year as my hubby's wish. I hope everything goes well with you and keep us posted. God bless!
