Ahmadinejad was quoting the Ayatollah Khomeini in a speech, repeating Khomeini‘s words: “The occupation regime over Jerusalem should vanish from the page of time.” There was no military threat ever made.

Even MEMRI (which would be loathe to miss any opportunity to find something bad) says nothing about wiping anything off any map - MEMRI translated his remark as:

Ahmadinejad has never threatened military action against Israel. However, Netanyahu has repeatedly threatened military action against Iran.

Iran has not instigated a war in centuries. Meanwhile, over just the last 60-some years, Israel has attacked every single one of its neighbors including Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt, as well as bombing Iraq, Somalia, and Tunisia.

Netanyahu was caught on camera bragging about how he deceived the Clinton administration during his first term as Prime Minister, in order to destroy the Oslo peace accords and keep control of the lion’s share of the West Bank.

Obama, Sarkozy and Merkel all know what a liar Netanyahu is. He’s about as authentic as a three-dollar bill, and they’re all on record stating as much.

Why any American loyal to his own country would continue to believe in that shameless con man, a foreign leader who is trying to drag the United States into yet another disastrous war - even in defiance of the U.S. government - well, it's beyond me.
