Hi friends,

Yup after nine months waiting.. I finally received a letter for the interview from VSC coming up next month. Please help me go through the evidence and documents that I will bring with me to the interview. I filed the application with a waiver due to USC husband's death.. (Thank you and I am doing so much better now).

What I have:

- Copy of the interview letter

- Bank statements from 2 different banks.. Joint Checking and Saving accounts for the year 2009, 2010, 2011.

- Statements from 2 different credit cards of husband have me as authorized user. My name is not on the statements but I have the actual credit cards under my name with the same account number.

- Tax return of the year 2010, 2011

- Receipt of the car purchase we made in 2010 with both our names on it.

- Car insurance policy or statements with both our names for 2 cars.

- Health insurance and dental insurance from husband's workplace stated me as beneficiary.

- Tickets of our trip back to my country in 2009

- A lot of wedding photos and photos we took throughout our marriage.

- Emails we have sent each other throughout our marriage.

- Affidavits from his mom and our friend (already submitted).

- His paycheck and my paycheck from our workplace with the same address on them.

What I dont have:

- No lease agreement or house title since we lived with his parents (his mom did say that in the affidavit that I submitted)

- No car title since the loan company had it when we first purchased and I sold the car after he passed away (everything was a mess, I could not remember a thing).

- No utility bills or phone bills since his parents took care of the bills..and we paid them after.

- No children.

- No driver licenses with the same address (lost them during the moving process).

- No tax return for 2012 ( he passed away in 2011)

That's all that I can prepare. I would be so grateful if you could suggest any kind of other documents that would be useful for the interview. I will update my interview and thanks for reading :)!!!

I am sooo sorry that you are filing under these circumstances! I'm glad to hear you're doing ok, and hope that you continue to do so.

I just looked at your list (both what you have and don't have) and would argue that it is truly a strong list! You have provided, in my opinion, sufficient documentation to demonstrate that you entered the marriage in good faith and co-mingled financial aspects of the marriage.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be posting with good news once it's over!

So sorry to hear about your loss. You might want to take a certified copy of the Death Certificate along to the interview to cover all bases. Other than that I would say you have enough.

Good luck to you.

Dave
