Thanks, it is so frustrating. I tell you, if a marriage can survive the immigration process, it can survive anything. Hopefully you will be able to sort everything out soon and get your green card. Wishing you all the best!!!

Monyfer... Hi. No, we haven't gotten anything in the mail yet. I tell you, I have literally been sick to my stomach for a week now. The absolute sheer terror of all this is nothing like I've felt before. It's taking a definite toll on my health. We've got a co-sponsor lined up just in case. I've gone over and over and over the paperwork we sent in searching for issues too. We just need this to be over with so we can move on. My husband wants his wife back. He doesn't know what to do with this person who doesn't eat or sleep and constantly paces.

foreverwaiting... CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is wonderful news! It's been such a long road for you. We'll see you again in a couple years :)

I am sorry to hear you haven't received the notice in the mail yet. I know how sick you must feel - I got so upset thinking about the "what ifs" yesterday that I threw up and was dizzy and shaking. It's hard to concentrate on anything else. I feel like our life is in limbo until we have a decision. All I can say is, I am here if you ever need to talk, and hopefully you will receive word soon and it will be something very simple and easily fixable. They say to think good thoughts, but I know how hard it is - I keep envisioning the worst horrors - but I will try to keep positive for both you and myself!!!

That is incredibly sweet, thank you very much. I was just talking to Colin about how no one thought we could do this and how everyone said it wouldn't work. We've come this far and proved so many people wrong. I can't let the non-believers win this one. We'll make it. And I think we all deserve a nice relaxing vacation afterwards!

We FINALLY got the RFE paperwork. They sent it to our old address even though we changed it on the phone and by mail in January. Oh well... at least it arrived.

And it's for the medical. Apparently he needs more shots. I feel like I've got to take a new puppy for his shots. I'm thankful it's not for my income or needing a co-sponsor. BUT... there is always a chance that they send another RFE for that so I'm not counting my chickens until they hatch a green card.

To you and anyone reading this - please don't make yourself so sick as to be throwing up. This process is stressful, but everything will be fine. You have already been approved for a K-1 visa so the AOS is administrative. Even if it weren't, as long as you have a real relationship you will be approved. I don't know how strongly I can stress this - but both of you will be fine and there is no need to be working yourselves into a tizzy. Please find to find a healthy way to cope, because this process is not worth all that stress. It will be fine. You are together and newly married. What could be sweeter?

I appreciate the reality check. I just get so frustrated because our K-1 experience was so long and we had everything in order and strong proof of a very long and established relationship. I feel like the littlest things can disqualify you. I have read on here about being denied for one box not being checked right, and it scares me. I originally felt really confident since we applied in November and wasn't worried about everyting going through, but our RFE threw me off, especially because it was something beyond our control and the fear of it being done wrong again and not getting another chance for something that may be beyond our control scared me. I also got worried because after my husband worrying he wouldn't find a job, he has found a great job he loves and is perfect for him, and it would break my heart for him to have to give it up if some administrative problem comes up and we are denied and have to refile. And, we have a big expensive marriage celebration planned for both family and friends in Mexico in a few months and the thought of him not being able to leave the country and having to make everyone cancel their reservations and losing all those deposits just makes me hyperventilate. Again, I am a pessimist and tend to catastrophize. Thanks for your posts that make me come back down to earth and think everything will be fine! :)

You're going to be fine now. I know how the stress can mess you up, I was going through that with our K1. I haven't been so worried on the AOS, but I think my wife has been. At least she found work now, so she doesn't have as much time to worry lol. Just a question, does getting the shots mean a revisit to the civil surgeon? I thought they were the ones who were supposed to make sure all the shots were complete and sign off on that? We have yet to see anything since the EAD and AP approvals, but I'm wondering about the shots because the Civil Surgeon said my wife didn't need a couple of them, so we didn't get those. Any ways, get your puppy out for those shots, and enjoy your wedding in a few months. You're sure to have completed this stage by then.
