I have been reading alot of the conversations on here and seen alot about how my husband will be interviewed and has to answer questions is there any time in this process I will get to talk about us or should I submit a letter with the I-130 form telling about our relationship. I want to make sure we have everything covered since it is going to be such an up hill battle.

I would say do all three. i-130, ds-230, and at the interview. You need Nigeria specific help! The USC was not allowed in for the interview in China.

In Lagos you will not be allowed in the interview with your husband if you are there at best they will allow you on the American side of the embassy if not you will wait outside.....and the questions they ask are questions pertaining to your relationship so im confused as to what you mean when you say is there time to talk about your relationship? the questions will be about the relationship and pictures will also tell your story....goodluck

In Lagos it isn't so much convincing the consulate that you believe your relationship is true. Not one petitioner here has gone through this mess thinking they are getting dumped at the border. It is for your other half to present proof that they are on the level and not using a USC as a stepping stone to Omboma land.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

My husband and I both submitted a letter entitled "our Story" at the very beginning of the process. I don't know if it helped much but it surely didn't hurt. It gave me the opportunity to tell in my own words how I met my husband, how I feel about him, our life plans, etc.
