Hi All,

Just require some clarification. Apparently the consulate is now using email to send out the appointment letter instead of sending it via snail mail.

I called the CSC number and the CSR confirmed that this is the case.

Can anyone confirm if this is true? If so, did you have issues (ie. non entry) with entry at the consulate because you didn't have a letter that was mailed but an email confirmation?

I believe someone had stated on another thread regarding the medical that they received their appointment letter from NVC. I called NVC to see if they issue this appointment letter and they stated that they do not issue letters for appointments for K1 Visa's.

Hoping someone can shed some like on this.

Well, for IR-1/CR-1 cases, our interview letters are only sent by email. So, obviously the consulate has no problem accepting interview letters by email. And, anyways, once you print it out, you wouldn't even know it's from an email. Could have been sent out by mail for all they know.

And good to know Montreal is speeding up the process a bit by using email instead of postal mail. Saves them money in the long run by not mailing out all those letters.

Hi guys,

How after booking your interview appointment you've received the email confirmation from the NVC?

I might be crazy, but I havent received any email yet. I booked last Tuesday.

Thanks,

I remember us booking our interviews at the same time last Tuesday. I received my confirmation email within minutes of booking. Have you tried calling NVC?

EDIT: Umm, my email was from the VISA INFORMATION SERVICE, not directly the NVC. Are we supposed to get one directly from the NVC?

As a K-1, NVC no longer has your case, so no, you're not supposed to get an email from them.

Great, thank you for the clarification!

So Elisinha, you should have received an email from the Visa Information Center. Perhaps you didn't write down your email address properly on the forms you've sent? Have you checked your account on the CSC VISA website to make sure it was correctly booked?

Hi guys,

I dont know what happened. I just checked my account and my phone was wrong, both of them .. Weird!!!

The rest, all the info ARE OK.. DHL Branch, Date of interview, my name, email, all good.

I did not receive any email after booking my interview :( .. I have only confirmation page with all the details that I got after booking it.. What should I do? Call CSC or can I take this paper I printed from booking ? I have a Medical Tuesday, dont know what to present for the doctor.. :help:

Did you check your junk mail or spam folder?

The confirmation page is fine for your consulate interview as long as it shows your name, case number, and appointment time. I believe this is what I actually brought to the interview, not the e-mail, though my memory's a bit fuzzy on it. The e-mail and the confirmation page on the CSC were similar, if I remember correctly.

Have you received either packet 3 or packet 4 in the mail yet? When I booked my medical exam at Dr. Seiden's they instructed me to bring either packet 3 or 4. If you have neither then I would bring your appointment confirmation page to your medical so long as it states your case number (the case number is important) and the rest of your info. If your are unsure you can always try e-mailing Dr. Seiden's. :)

Pocheros, You rock!

this is the situation:

The only thing my confirmation page DOESN'T have, is my Case number. Why? :crying:

I have not received P3 or P4 in the mail yet :( ..

- I have the email from the Consulate P4 when it says I am ready to book my interview etc.. (it has my case number)

- I have the confirmation page

- I have the receipt that I paid the fee online.

I might write my case number by hand ahahahah.. OMG!!
