Social/foreign policies liberal.

Fiscal conservative (this means fiscal liberal / ie end Bush tax cuts and wars and make a few reductions in wasteful spending and we'd have surpluses like under Clinton...)

Religion: I don't believe in fairy tales written by "wise" men from 2,000 years ago when science was in infant stages (at this time no such thing as physics/chemistry/biology/calculus/paleontology/dinosaurs/germs/list stretches for miles.... or Big Bang/Evolution). Let's face it. Their knowledge on life's complexities was at retardation levels. Not long ago you'd be burned alive for having a pimple because the idiots thought you were a witch/boogy man...And a mere 500 years ago the earth was flat. Times that retardation by 4 and you get the "wise" men from 2000 years ago before paper/gun powder/ink pens/tooth paste/electricity/bathrooms/bathtubs/stoves/ list stretches for miles were invented...

Thanks for sharing...I appreciate that....true indeed, advances in laboratory sciences through application of the scientific method has advanced the human race in an incredible way over the years....humans who lived 2,000 years ago probably thought something similar of the people who lived 6,000 years ago, and so on and so forth...you sound like you may be a scientist, that is pretty cool, both my mother and father are scientists, mom is a chemist, dad is a physicist, I studied science the first 2 years in college, but I was lazy, too much studying, I preferred to party, so I transferred to business school...

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends

We're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside

There behind a glass stands a real blade of grass

Be careful as you pass, move along, move along

Come inside, the show's about to start

Guaranteed to blow your head apart

Rest assured you'll get your money's worth

The greatest show in Heaven, Hell or Earth

You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo

You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll,

I had to go to the dictionary on that. So that is what everybody else is from your view. It would have been cool if you shared the view of yourself, no worries though, I learned a couple of new words. If anyone curses me with these words, I will know what they are saying...jejejeje...

'Narcissist' might fit him well!

Whoa! They were certainly not retards! Of course we know far more now than they did then. At their time they may have been on the cutting edge. Some of the philosophy from that era was/is brilliant! It might be that retard is a label that could be applied to those of our contemporaries who keep their heads (figuratively) buried in the sand.

My own leanings do not fit neatly into the labels as many like to apply them. Personal lifestyle quite conservative. Strong belief in bill of rights and separation of church and state. Progressive on many issues! Politics usually liberal, depends on the issue. Biggest issue is for single payer national health insurance! (Medicare for all!)

Cool man, I would also add that the desires of man's heart has remained constant through the millenniums. The desire to love, to hate, to grieve, to mourn, to feel joy, to feel pain, to search for the meaning of one's life, to search for purpose, to feel compassion, to lack compassion and ultimately, we will all experience the sting of death..etc..these things are constant I think.

I think we will have single payer health insurance, it is a matter of time it appears, everything is trending that direction it seems.

My views don't fit neatly in a box either, but generally speaking, the Paul Ryan budget makes the most sense, hence me leaning to the fiscal conservative side, all the other budgets seem to trend us to bankruptcy, though I do think Paul Ryan needs to add tax revenue to his budget, taxes gotta go up, I would prefer on everybody and that everybody chips in something. That is probably my biggest issue with Republicans today, they do not want to increase tax revenue, on anybody, then the dems only want to increase revenue on wealthy people, which isn't enough it appears. The tax code is jacked up, incredible, all these special interests baked into it, poor people interests, rich people interests, now the govt does not have enough money and has too many bills to pay.

Liberty. Plain and simple. Give it to me or give me death.

It would be nice to have pure liberty. It reminds me of the story where there was an elephant tied to a post in the jungle. His masters would bring him food everyday. The years went by, eventually, the masters wanted to let the elephant go, so they untied him. The next day they came back, the elephant was still there, hungry. The only thing he knew was his masters bringing him food. He did not know what to do with the freedom he had. The story went something like that.

A significant part of the country is tied to the govt post, with the govt figuratively feeding them, many people are now satisfied with that and it appears increasingly, that is what more and more people want. Even if the govt were to let people go and be free, people would not know what to do with this freedom and continue to wait and want the master govt to feed them.
