OK.. so im just thinking ahead to my interview wich wont be for months and months. but i want to make sure my fiance get as much covered as we can.

my fiance is the USC and is only working part time as of now. my uncle has said he will be my co sponsor so thats one good thing, since my fiance diddnt meet the required 125% above poverty line on his taxes.

now, my fiance doesnt have a bank account right now because he owes overdrawn fees and is pretty much refusing to pay them right now. is a bank account required for him on his affadivit of support? or am i freaking out on him everyday for nothing?

yes your freakin out on him for nothing lol. unless the sponsor or co-sponsor are using savings to meet the requirements then a bank account isnt needed or asked for. plus his financial information isnt important seen as you need a co-sponsor anyway

OK so basically since i have a co-sponsor, they'll be looking at the cosponsors finances and not my fiance's??? this would be freakin awesome news for me. cuz i have literally spent the last month everyday hounding him to get a bank account.

so my cosponsor would have to provide his taxes paystubs bank letter and all that??? and my fiance too????? CONFUSED

Just a question as I don't seem to understand one thing, can an uncle of a non USC be a co-sponsor? I thought that's not possible? correct me please if I am wrong (which I probably am ;) )

I'm confused too... Winter, you are the beneficiary, correct? This means that the co-sponsor/sponsor needs to be a friend or a family member of your American fiance.

Unless your uncle is a USC too?

yes my uncle is a USC. has lived/worked there and has been a USC as long as i can remember. i was under the impression that ANY USC can be the co-sponsor... doesnt matter if it is my family member, his family member or just a friend.

let me know now if i am wrong...

also i was under the impression that since my uncle lives in a different state than my fiance, this also doesnt matter the co-sponsor can be from anywhere in the US....

bank account is not necessary as long that your fiance and the cosponsor meets the guidelines.

your cosponsor need to fill up the affidavit of support and give the copy of his/her tax return....your fiance need to give his too (affidavit of support and tax return for 3yrs)

i got that answer from the immigration lawyer..lol maybe try calling for one..sometime they give advice for free.

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

both your sponsor and your co-sponsor will fill out an I-134 each. then if both of them provide you with the most recent tax return and W2, a letter of employment, and a few months pay stubs then you should be fine. if your co-sponsor is going off income alone then no bank statements are needed.

takis, my fiance does not meet the guidelines that is why i have a co-sponsor, right? at least the poverty guideline he does not meet. ok so 2 of you said different things about tax returns. one said last 3 years a copy and another said only the most recent.

my fiance from his tax return for 2011 owed the IRS all that money, so he did not get a return. although i am sure he got a transcript of the money he should have gotten had he not owed it from a dumb mistake he made the year previous.

will this in anyway affect our k1 visa, if, infact i need to provide transcripts from him for the last three years?

I was recently approved for my K-1 in Vancouver. My fiance only provided his 2010 tax stuff and we had no issues.

Maybe it's a good idea to have 3 years just in case, but really.. on the I-134 it just asks for recent tax stuff (including W2s). You can check out the I-134 instructions and form here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=fe3647a55773d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD
