Service request question

I decided to call USCIS customer service tomorrow and request some information about my case (applied for removal of conditions with a waiver on filing jointly in APRIL 2011).

Is there anything I should know before I call their 800 number? I have my biometric app letter as well as the extension in one folder in case they ask me about specific dates or numbers.

Should I have other documents ready? And does it give you an option to talk to the customer representative right away or is the wait really long?

You only need receipt # (the one in biometric notice).

I was on the phone with Immigration this morning, decided to share because of the weird comment the customer service representative made to me.

So it took me a while to get switched to talk to someone, her first question was about the type of application i was inquiring information about and the date of my I-751 receipt.

When I told her it was April XX 2011 she said to herself whispering (direct quote): "Yea, and it will take another five years". (I assumed she meant another 5 years to adjust my case..?!)

I was a little bit uncomfortable when she said it but didn't say anything because she immediately started asking me questions about my alien number and other info so I kind of forgot about it until I hung up. My god, I read storied about I-751 waivers taking 5 years to adjust, I just hope im not one of those cases..

Anyways.. She gave me some kind of a confirmation number after the service request was filed. I should get the letter within 15 days..
