I was interviewed with my family in September 2010 for immigrant visa. Told by embassy staff that we are approved but than we were put on Mandatory AP than retrogression happened. In December 2011 we received our passport back with a letter to submit new PCC,New Medical report, New photographs and New DS-230 part 1 & 2. The letter also mentioned that just pay the courier fee at VFS and than come to embassy at any working day at 8.30 AM for oath.

We appeared at US Embassy New Delhi for oath and to submit the required documents in the first week of January 2012. We were asked to sign the DS-230 part 2 than given a white slip which says " Please bear with us as this case undergoes for Mandatory administrative process" .We have retained your passports to more quickly process your visa when the process is complete. When the process is complete we will send your passports and visa to you via VFS."

I called DOS some times and was told that we have cleared this case from here months before and the Processing is only going at Embassy Level, they are verifying the New documents.

My question is that How much time the Embassy takes to complete the Mandatory Administrative Process.

I also want to mention that CO specially confirmed with my three children that they all are unmarried.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

There is nothing you can do here, they have kept you passports. This is good news...

There are 3-5 emails addresses that you can send email, you may be lucky to get reply back. (I don't have the email addresses with me, If I can find, I will let you know).

Good luck

Talked to DOS last week and was told first time that it is under review. What is the difference between processing and review ? It has been 104 days since mandatory AP started.
