My husband bought this house before we met. so the house is under his name and the mortgage only has his name on it. we don't rent so there is no joint lease. the car is under his name too because I didn't have a driver's license at the time we bought the car. but I do have the auto insurace with both name on it.

the only joint property we have is the joing bank account and joint credit card.

does it seem like we do not have enough financial bond between us?

I think you are fine. As for resident proof I say send in some utility bills and explain the situation in the cover letter.

We don't have a joint mortgage/lease. We bought the house shortly after our wedding, but do to my lack of credit (and a few other things) they wouldn't approve the loan with me on it. I included a letter in the package explaining this. We were approved without an issue. But we did have plenty of other evidence to make up for it.

Do you have life insurance? Joint health insurance? Any trips taken together? Taxes filled jointly? Things like that are great evidence as well.

I own my own home, my wife owns her own homes. It is the totality of the relationship and existing joint togetherness of making a new family not one item. You should have joint insurance, Costco, AAA etc.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
