AP in hand, GC interview in 1 mo. should he travel now?

Hi Everyone,

My French husband received his GC interview date (April 17, 2012) on Monday, and then received his AP/EAD card yesterday. He is dying to go home to France and visit his family...is it risky for him to use his AP to visit France and come back before the interview? Will the interviewers think it is suspicious that he is traveling right before his interview? Thanks!!

It's fine. The intended purpose of AP is to travel, no?

8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

It most likely won't be brought up at the interview. If you two have enough proof of co mingling, him traveling temporarily is irrelevant for AOS purposes.

US citizen since April 2016

ROC completed April 2014

AOS from K1 completed February 2012
