hello,

i was hoping i would get some idea of how long it might take to get my immigration visa issued at the montreal consulate in canada. i am married to a US citizen.

I am a canadian citizen and got my waiver for inadmissability approved back in november 2011, that is when my case went to the montreal consulate for visa issuance.

It has been 4 months and I have not heard from them.

Any ideas on how much longer this might take?

Thank you very much.

Have you called DOS to ask them the status on your case? You should do that if you haven't.

I did not know the department of state might have answers.

I called the consulate in montreal and they dont take calls or answer emails on how long it takes.

I assume DOS is Department of state?

I will try them.

Thanks.
