Wow, definatly not a lot of good reviews for AA, thanks guys, i think i will avoid them!

Do they have any entertainment on the BA flights? Ive only flown with BA once to Russia and we had the option to watch one movie.

On the Continental flights before they merged with United there were TVs on the back of the seats and everything which is fantastic and they also allow you to reserve your seat and choose your seat days before you fly but BA seem to be half the price now!

BA has a good list of entertainment. You can go onto their website and see everything their showing for the month. I watched Moneyball on my last flight. I was still in the cinema here! Saved myself £8 by watching it on the plane instead lol. The food is good too. Im very fussy about where I sit so being able to chose my seat is a plus because Im a bit of a nervous flyer, Im aslo a big gal so I can pick the seats with the most room! I had a panic attack on my flight home in January during some really heavy turbulence. I thought i was going to die!! The BA air hostess was so nice to me and she sat with me while I calmed down.

British Airways, Air France or Lufthansa, nothing else :) All major Europeans airlines top any American ones. Then above Europe, you could opt for Gulf airlines (Qatar is excellent) or Asian (Singapore or Cathay) :)

I used to fly Continental Airlines all the time. One Pass mileage rewards etc. The last time we booked with them, we had a flight from Newark to LAX and they bumped us even though we had a connection to make at LAX to Aus. So now, I have all this unused mileage points because I haven't used them in 2 years.

I've flown Delta International and they weren't too bad but Delta domestic sucked a$$. But my favourite is V Australia so if you have the option of flying Virgin that is always my first choice now. Great service and in flight entertainment. I also love Air NZ but they're expensive (or at least I haven't been able to afford them for the past 3 years).

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR: (dd/mm/yyyy)

18/09/09 - CR1 NOA1

16/07/10 - POE LAX (256 days NOA1 to interview)

27/09/10 - Aussie/American bun in the oven due May 10, 2011

06/01/11 - Submitted change of address online to USCIS. Mailed I-865 for sponsor. Neverending!

05/05/11 - Bouncing baby boy arrives

10/07/12 - Sent I-751

13/07/12 - I-751 NOA1

I try to always fly Cathay or Thai (from South East Asia). I did fly with Jet Airways (NEVER AGAIN) and as they do not fly to the states I was stuck with United. Absolutely worst flight. For a 14 and a half hour flight, no personal TV's, no reading material (papers/mags), the food was horrible, very expensive alcohol, and I ended up having to pay for my overweight baggage TWICE (nearly $400) for a missed connection due to the overloading of the plane. Horrible. Will never fly with United again either.

In the west coast of the US, I say there is no better airline than Alaska. Great millage plans and large partner groupings (Cathy and Lufthansa just to name a few).

Also if you want to fly with Animals I say go with Thai. They have in-cargo options for animals under 8 kilos! And the "checked" animals will only cost you the price of an extra bag! When I go back to the states for good I will fly my cat and Tibetan mastiff with them for sure!

My interview is getting close now but im not sure what airline to fly with.

Ive always flown with Continental but since they merged with United i have to say imo you are paying more for less service! But i have 15k miles clocked up with them!

Ive got the option to fly with American Airlines or British Airways aswell but dont know who is the best.

Who have you all flown with back over to the states? & who do you think was the best/worst?

As a veteran of the airline industry I will give one piece of advice: AVOID any airline that is in turmoil. Mergers, bankruptcy, labor problems all affect moral. I remember being told " there is no such thing as moral, 8 hours is 8 hours." Unhappy employees equal unhappy customers. CEO's and shareholders have no idea. Best of luck!

I flew BA from Chennai-London- DFW and had to pay extra to choose my seat until 24 hours prior to the flight (maybe 48?) that was the only negative I had about the Airlines. I've flown AA extinsively in the US and had very mixed experiences but most leaning to negative.

**I've flown Lufthansa (very extensively about 500,000 miles in 7 years) and Asiana (both Star Alliance and should convert your United miles) and never had a negative experience.

I never had problems with AA and Delta. But United? I hate that airline! Nothing but bad experiences with them. First time, their stupid flight was so late I missed my connecting flight. Slept at the airport in Vancouver. 2nd time they sent my luggage to a different airport and the third and hopefully the last they put the wrong destination/country on my baggage tags huh?! How stupid!! Glad that I checked it.

Anyway happy trip!!

I won't fly with Delta anymore. They ban "pit bull" type dogs. which i have a boxer crossed with a pit bull. I think they are discriminating against dogs who only have a bad rap.

won't fly with them!

Will be flying with JetAirways & Delta. My wife used the same route flight to return to USA 2 months back and she had a good experience. At LGA airport, she fell asleep when she was waiting for her next flight with Delta, and she missed the flight after all check-in, but Delta people did accommodate her in the next flight. Very good people! :)

I just got my plane tickets for my POE, I'm going with Westjet - as they don't charge baggage fees! Service is good, but I find them kinda cheesy.

If I don't fly Westjet, I go Air Canada, as they got monitors for each seat and the service is pretty nice. My next choice is Alaska airlines, but since I fly from canada to los angeles, its ALWAYS full of screaming Disneyland bound snotty kids. I flown United before and they oversold the flight twice, delayed my flight for 5 hours once because the plane broke, then the replacement plane broke too.
