March 19th - received NOA

April 13th - Biometrics

May 03rd - notified of interview (06/13/2012)

May 06th - received interview letter in mail

May 11th - received notification of EAD card in production

May 19th - EAD in hand

May 23rd - Applied for SSC

May 29th - Received social security card in mail (card in hand)

June 13th - Interview (approved on the spot)

June 13th - got notification of approval

June 18th - Card in production (also received welcome letter in mail)

June 21st - Green Card in hand

End of this journey....

Had my AOS interview this morning. Approved and received a stamp in my passport. Will post a review shortly - but was in and out of the interview room in under 10 minutes.

Hello. Dont worry it's normal. Same thing happened to me. We were told to wait for 4 weeks. I just received my new SS card yesterday, I think it took 3 weeks. You'll be fine. :)

Thank you!! I just read through the posts here and saw some of the people here got their SSC so quick. Wonder if it is because of the location??

yes maybe its ur local office

i for mine in a few day

received welcome to America letter today in mail :thumbs:

also card in production :dance:

three months ago i was literally checking the mail EVERYDAY (dont even know why cuz everything is updated online first)

and maybe 20 times for the day i was checking the USCIS website.... :whistle:

i am so thankful this process is finally over

I got a ten year card so I would not be ROC-ing but I would be naturalizing

God is GREAT!!! :star: :star: :star:

Hello!

Tomorrow is our interview for the Permanent Resident card, do I need to surrender my EAD card?

I-130 for mother

06/25/16 - Sent petition to USCIS

07/02/16 - Received email and text that I-130 was received

07/05/15 - Checked cleared in the bank

No you do not have to surrender your EAD card, but take it with you in case he asked for it

They asked for it and did not return it to me. But they gave me a photocopy since I need it for my job interviews, and also a letter stating that they approved my case and will mail my PRC.

I-130 for mother

06/25/16 - Sent petition to USCIS

07/02/16 - Received email and text that I-130 was received

07/05/15 - Checked cleared in the bank

April , 2001: American born father filed I-130
May 22 , 2012 : Lawyer sent AOS
June 10, 2012 : checks cashed
June 11, 2012 : NOA's arrived
June 13, 2012 : Biometrics appointment arrived for July 5th
June 19, 2012: Succesful walk-in at Bellflower,ca office
July 25, 2012 : First card production ordered text/email
July 30, 2012 : second card production ordered text/email
July 30 ,2012 : Third text/email approval notice sent
July 31,2012 : Fourth text/email usps reported it picked up email
Aug 2, 2012 : Fifth email USPS has delivered your new card at address on file
Sep 7,2012 : Text notification update: On September7th we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for October 10,2012!!
Sep 10,2012: receieved interview letter in the mail for October 10 at LA field office!

May 6,2013 : Recieved email I-485 approved

May 10,2013: card document production ordered/ received Welcome letter

May 16,2013: Received Green Card in Mail!

I received my GC today, If I moved in the two year period do I have to change my address?

Yes, you do have to update your address with USCIS until you become a citizen.

08/01/2012 - I-485 - Green Card/Document Production

You may be in for a loooong wait! We are 8 months and counting, even after involving our Congressman and both Senators!
