we had our interview June 6th, the officer was really nice he did not separate us, he was very friendly, but at the end he requested request of evidence of the most recent tax return of the co sponsor and he asked me to bring it to the local office which I did the day after the interview. After the interview, our I 130 was approved online, any esitamates of the future?

Hi all~

We submitted our AOS application in March as well. The case was transfer to California in the end of April. And we got the EAD and AP a bit more than 2 week ago. We went to SS office to apply for a SSN last week. They said that they could not find our information in their system and they needed to verify it with USCIS, which would take about 4 weeks. They gave us a letter stating the same thing with a reference number. Have anyone of you had this? Is there any way to speed up the process as we are waiting for the SSN for insurance and employment. They said the reason they don't have our information in the SS system could be the name change after marriage or USCIS has not updated the status....

I saw some of you got your SSN just a few days after the application. Is our case rare?

Thanks!!

Hello. Dont worry it's normal. Same thing happened to me. We were told to wait for 4 weeks. I just received my new SS card yesterday, I think it took 3 weeks. You'll be fine. :)
