It'll take a few months yet. Don't worry it's only two weeks or so since your bio's. Remember it might take longer because of your overstay, or it might fly past. It's all luck.

It's not even been a month since you applied. EAD's and AP take about 3 months. I-130 and 485 could be 6 months or more.

I have two questions:

1- Our biometric appointment is on 2nd May, I wanted to go earlier, I wanted to know is this possible, and is doing the biometric earlier can speed up the whole process?

2- My wife needs to travel outside the country in the begnining of MAY for a family visit, and this is before the interview(we did not recieve the interview appointment yet) does this have any bad impact on our interview? as they may ask why didnt you travel with your wife?

To answer your questions in order.

1. Maybe, maybe not. I saw people being turned away from biometric appointments when I was there, to be fair they were busy.

2. If you wife is the one adjusting status, she will need Advance Parole first if she leaves without it, she'll be out of the country until she gets a spousal visa. If it's you adjusting, then she can travel without worries I'd imagine. Also generally unless you need to be helped filling in the form at the office you should go along on your own anyway. It's not a big deal.

Also the case status online hasn't been updated either.

I-130 I-131 I-765 are stuck on initial review since MARCH19, 2012

I-485 stuck on acceptance since MARCH 21,2012

The last updated / touch dates show MARCH 21, 2012

That's the date they first send me email of NOA with receipt number and since I did my biometrics it has not change either ... I hope my case is not lost

You are not alone, I am here with you, though we're far apart, we're having the same start... *humming* lol... just hold tight. Doing the Bio's early doesn't seem to make a difference. Just have to be patient!

Hi guys! Did my biometrics on April 5th and on April 17th they change my status telling me about my interview, so it took about over a week for them to do the update, although nothing has changed with the EAD! I really wanted to have it way before my interview so that I can get my licence!

There is no issues as to why you didn't travel with your wife, I mean you can't leave the country while you are under the proccess, because then how else would you be admitted back into the US.

Hello basee, did you get any updates yet or interview notice from Uscis, I haven't as yet

Yeah, sorry I didn't see this before I posted. The RFE seems to be okay. I got the email on Friday about the interview and the hard copy today. So from posting the application to interview is about 10 weeks, haven't got the EAD yet though. Biometrics were done 3/19 as an early walk-in but the actually appointment was 4/9 so I'm hoping that it will arrive soon, I have some jobs in the pipeline (positive thinking) need that EAD soon as so I don't miss out on the opportunities. We are in desperate need of another income.

(Dear Admin, my apologies, I've posted this twice as I wanted it to appear in March AOS but I put the first in the wrong place)

So I have my interview scheduled for late May. We have a variety of pictures, cards received from well wishers, cards sent to each other for valentines, letters addressed to us both, lease and rent receipts, joint bank account, life insurance, we have no car or big purchases, we've not been married that long and our accommodation is furnished. What are the most important things to take?

I have a question, regarding the interview letter, do they first update your uscis online case status or they send you the interview in mail?

I signed up for text and email notification, I got those first, the status was updated and then I got the hard copy.
