Got my interview but too far

Just can't understand am going to be waiting for another 4 months before my interview , just when I thought everything was going smoothly , but you never know just have to keep my fingers crossed and pray things goes well on that day.

I know.Most consulates do not take this long.Seems wierd that after its taken 4-5 months at the service Center it is going to take another 4 months.The whole process has generally taken about a year to complete from start to finish.Expect another 3- 4 weeks to pick up the visa once its been approved.Thats red tape in action at the Accra Consulate.

Yea it going to be like 304 days , but I think the most important thing is the end result , got everything ready though , when is your Fiance' picking his/her packet? pray over the date ok

You have to keep in mind, the consulate in Ghana is extremely backlogged. The biggest one in the world, as far as I know. Be grateful for it only being 4 months. They must have sped up as I remember it taking up to one YEAR to get an interview date!

Yeah.Like you said the important thing is the end result.She is picking up her packet next wednesday.I am expecting an interview date in late July or August.

Yea it will be around that time, just let her know so that she won't be disappointed

She is also anticipating that date.We looked at several timelines and realized that its taking on average about 4 months for an interview to be scheduled.We are just waiting for our date to be scheduled so we can get the latest letter of intent, employment letter,bank statement, I-134,bank letter and phone records, medicals and police report.We will probably send all these things about 2 months before the interview.

if u send ur xhecklist in early saying u have everything they will call u asking to move ur interview up if u have everything then send in that of form and u may be called early...

Do you think so, I will let my fiance' write to them telling them we have everything ready to see if they can do something about the interview date for us, I don't think that will be possible though. But have you succeeded in doing that? or did you know anyone who has done that before?

For k-1 you DONT send anything in. Nothing will change unless they call you.

Do you think thats long I had to wait 8 months for my interview...just have in mind this a waiting game..good luck on the interview..

you can try but i dont think they will change it for you. both my fiancee and i have sent them an email requesting for an earlier interview date at different times, and we both got the same exact reply - word by word. hahaha. it looks like a pretyped response.

but...hey give it a try. luck might be on your side. i have given up because my interview is in about 6 or so weeks, so i will just kick back and relax the waiting game.
