Would you tell me can my attorney send in the packet 3 by email to Guangzhou Consulate on behalf of my fiancee in china?

Welcome to the forum.

You should consider posting your question as a new topic, rather than asking q question on a thread that is 5 months old.

Good luck on your visa journey.

GUZ P shortcut doesnot include what needs to include in the package. :(

If I'm reading it correctly here is what you need to prepare for:

1)Form 169

2)DS230

4)I864

5)copes of beneficiary's passoport.

I'm waiting for P3 to come too! good luck!

Correct, the GUZ P3 shortcut is not a recipe for what is included in the Packet 3 mailed from the consulate. A review of the VJ Wiki would reveal that It is a plan to basically mail in your completed Packet 3 documents at the same time as the GUZ consulate mails out the initial Packet 3 information to the visa beneficiary. Additionally, as mentioned in the Wiki, it is for K-1 and K-3 visas only.

We used it and the net result was a quicker response time from the consulate, resulting in a shorter time to obtaining a scheduled interview. The GUZ consulate has a notoriously slow mail room, and the outgoing Packet 3 mail can languish in their mailroom for weeks.

In our case, on 20 April 2012 I received information from the DOS in Washington, DC that the GUZ consulate had "opened" our electronic case file, we sent our completed Packet 3 documents to the GUZ consulate on 29 April 2012 (following Darnell's P3 shortcut scheme). We received the initial Packet 3 documents from the GUZ on 6 May 2012. In essence, our completed Packet 3 documents "passed" the GUZ-generated uncompleted Packet 3 forms in the China postal system. Had we waited until receipt of the GUZ mailed Packet 3, it would have further prolonged the time before we got out Packet 4 information. We got an email from the GUZ on 18 May 2012 with a scheduled interview date, Packet 4 link and other pertinent information.

The link for the contents of the various packets used by the GUZ consulate is readily available at the site's GUZ embassy info page.

As always, kudos to Darnell for coming up with this time-saving scheme. As I have mentioned before in other threads, when I was in Guangzhou, I halfway expected to see Darnell in the park across the street from the GUZ consulate, keeping an eye on things....

Good luck on your visa journey.

YMMV

There's a link to the GUZ IV Forms Page. You were supposed to click that link, then read all.
