so my question is that i just got my 129F petition NOA2 approval, now it's going to the NVC for processing and then NVC forwarding to embassy in guangzhou, and then guangzhou sending packet 3 to my fiance in china.

so what can i do to speed up the rest of the visa journey, is it recommended to have my fiance to complete the packet 3 found on guangzhou embassy website before receiving packet 3, and have her send out packet 3 to guangzhou after i made sure guangzhou have received the case from NVC.

is there anything else i can do to speed things up.

please let me know my fellow K1 China VJers.

thanks

You can download pretty much all of the packets forms from the website and get those filled out, make sure you have all of the certificate white books. You won't want to send the P3 in until you are sure the consulate has dispatched it to her, you can call and and ask if it has hit the mailroom yet. I think Darnell wrote up a guide for the shortcut process, it will save you time if you do it right.

thanks for the information, i didn't think to look into the Wiki.

So on the wiki page it says "As soon as DOS tells you that the P3 has been sent, your fiancee can send out the P3 documents via EMS. This will save anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks of wait time."

how do i check when DOS has P3 sent?

Use a Telephone.

You probably want to track the entire casefile movement, from USCIS to NVC to GUZ IV , plus knowing P3 stuff, interview date, interview status, visa package shipment, is all sorta important (mondo important IMO)

so

Study this post:

Dodi - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/

Dodi's posted how to call, who to call,

and further down (look for it) I've posted what you can get, when, and from which office.

it was about 10 days until the NVC received my information. Things will move fast once the consulate gets the paperwork. Yuan and I went from no progress to finishing paperwork, planning my interview trip and all of the little odds and ends. I would concentrate on the paperwork.

But do not get into to big of a hurry. I had to have my employment letter redone because I got it as soon as the NOA2 arrived. If you are not going over for the interview. The us post office has a $38 dollar 3-5 business day letter service. Yuan received it in 3 days. The paperwork is very easy to fill out and much cheaper than UPS or Fedex.

I am planning on going over with my fiancé to the interview.

I emailed the consulate with questions (like - do you have our application and where is it in processing...) and they were very quick and helpful. You can keep on practicing those interview questions too. When you get over there, the two of you should organize your packet that she's going to bring to the interview so she can find and pull stuff out and slip it through the small window - quickly and with confidence.

Waste of time and money to attend the interview. You can't go in anyway. Unless you have a ton of Vacation time and money it would be better spent else where. Her kids, ESL classes, items for her in the home, her clothing when she arrives etc...

Guangzhou is a great city to see and great food if you have the time and money. Don't forget you have expenses when you get her to the USA.

Attorny is a waste of time and money also. Make the phone calls and take the short cuts from Darnell and others.
