If you do not file an I-751 in time, her green card status will be terminated and you may be put into deportation proceedings. If USCIS does not accept your excuse and late filing, then they will likely send a Notice to Appear to court which will be the begining of deportation proceedings. The inclusion of your cover letter will help. They may well accept the late filing without terminating her status.Three weeks it's too late, try not to send after 1 week and with a DAMN GOOD EXPLANATION. It is in the USCIS' discretion to accept the late filing or not.

Yep, if FedEx, DHL or UPS can guarantee overnight to and from Belize - this sounds like the best option.

If not, fly to Belize tomorrow, and fly her back with you.

If she's the mother of your children, and you think you have a future together, I absolutely would not chance sendin it in late.

let's face it, you got problems. you are supposed to send in the 751 package 90 days before the gc expires. if not received on time, your wife will not be approved. you really have to think hard on what you really want to do. why didn't you prepared your wife's 751 package 3 months early? how many more days you have left? it looks like as of now, you got 4 days left to do everything. its up to you now.

You don't have to complete paperwork, send to her to sign and send back so you can file. You can have her complete the paperwork on her end and overnight it to you to sign and file. It saves one overnighted package and at least 1 day. While you are waiting for the overnighted package, gather up all the other information you will need to send. Once you receive the form from her, sign and complete immediately and send out by FedEx.

If you do, you will likely make it in time.

Otherwise you will potentially be throwing away a lot because of this situation. If that's really what you want, to throw it all away, by all means don't file and risk your relationship with your wife and child. If you don't want to end, you can do something about it. If you do want it to end, leaving her with her documents in your bag was a very unsubtle way of going about it.

You fill out the I-551 form and overnight it to her.

She signs, and overnights it back to you.

You overnight it to the USCIS.

Should be doable in 6 days.

You are not allowed to mail a Green Card, but sometimes we all have to do what we have to do. Once you have received the NOA1 in the mail, you'll overnight it to her together with the Green Card and her passport.

That's the only way, short of sending a courier or flying there yourself.

Now that I think about it, this is more complicated that it has to be. Why do three overnight shipments when you can have two? Have her print the thing out and sign it, have her overnight it to you, you can fill it out and sign it, and then overnight it to USCIS.

Totally not in this guys defense, but it's just not his responsibility to file the papers on time. His wife should have been proactive as well about getting the paperwork done. Hope he hasn't responded in awhile because they have done something about this situation by now.
