Hi Vjers !!!

I am stressing out a little bit :help: as I am generally known to do anyways

I am putting together my package to send my fiance for his interview, which will be April 18th. I am trying to get this together, because his cousin is traveling back to Peru this Saturday and has offered to take this for me

Here are my questions:

1. I have my NOA2 and my Receipt Number letter from NVC, but I cant seem to find my NOA1..is this a problem? Does this HAVE to be inclded?

2. My certificate of Dissolution of Marriage that I sent in my original I-129F petition is dated as issued on May 2, 2011 (not my divorce date btw, this is just when i requested a copy, I have been divorced for 7 or 8 years) BUT since sending it out, I must have requested another copy, because the original one I have here is dated as issued on July 25, 2011..do you think this will be a problem??

:ot: Yes...please dont judge me...i am a tiny bit disorganized...it is not one of my virtues, But that being said, I am really trying very hard to keep things in order :ot2:

3. Do I need to send him more passport pics? I have one, that I was going to include anyway, just not sure if I need to send more.

4. Does my I-134, Affidavit of Support, need to be notarized ?

5. Interview is April 18th...my new Letter of Intent is dated March 15th, is this too soon? Should I date it closer to the date of interview?

6. I am including a letter from my employer, tax returns from 2012 and 2011, last 3 pay check stubs...is this enough?

7. I dont really have "official" paycheck stubs, because I get direct deposit, my company is based out of the UK, so my stubs are emailed to me...not very "official" i guess...do you think this might be a problem??

Ok well, 7 is a lucky number so I will leave it at that, lol...Sorry so many questions, but I looked for these things online, and still not totally sure about these...imput will be greatly appreciated !! Thanks ahead of time !!!

PS-- :guides: <-- I did !!! :bonk:

1. I have my NOA2 and my Receipt Number letter from NVC, but I cant seem to find my NOA1..is this a problem? Does this HAVE to be inclded?

I sent copies of the NOA2 and the NVC letter to my fiancee. (not the NOA1)

Date of your divorce decree is not a big deal, as long as it is complete and a certified copy. The one I sent was 14 years old.

NO

5. Interview is April 18th...my new Letter of Intent is dated March 15th, is this too soon? Should I date it closer to the date of interview?

I would not worry about the date of the LOI just so long as it an original signed.

6. I am including a letter from my employer, tax returns from 2012 and 2011, last 3 pay check stubs...is this enough?

I am sure you mean 2010 and 2011 tax returns ;-), as long as you have what is listed on the instructions for the I-134 you will be fine, and it appears you do.

7. I dont really have "official" paycheck stubs, because I get direct deposit, my company is based out of the UK, so my stubs are emailed to me...not very "official" i guess...do you think this might be a problem??

They are what they are, if you feel it might be an issue, attach a letter explaining.

Ok well, 7 is a lucky number so I will leave it at that, lol...Sorry so many questions, but I looked for these things online, and still not totally sure about these...imput will be greatly appreciated !! Thanks ahead of time !!!

Just see what the packet requirements are for the interview. You don't need huge stacks of paperwork. Make sure he has pictures of you meeting him with family, photocopyu of your passport with entry stamps, letters from employer and bank, W2's and IRS tax Returns or transcripts (I provided 3 years worth), does you company give you access to print out your paystubs? Include caal history, webcam screenshots if you have them, letters and cards you sent each other with the date stamped envelopes they came in, the required official forms that the Embassy requires in that country; it may be DS-156, DS-156k, DS-157 or the new DS-160. Search on VJ for review of the Embassy in his country toi see other experiences and questions asked. Don't panic, the interviews are normally very easy as long as you meet the proof of relationship requirements and can prove it and meet the minimum income requirement to support your household. Good Luck.

My Peruvian fiance has his interview in less than 24 hours. This is what he is taking:

Each item that is listed in his appointment letter

A notebook (like used in highschool to make organization easier) with dividers for each section (Application, Interview, Evidence,
AOS
, plus a couple of blank sections, 2 folders that he can remove, photo pocket pages with tickets to things we did together with a photo of us there (ie--bus tickets to Nazca with a photo of us on top of a hill with the lines visible in the background with our tour guide standing with us), one of those zipper pockets (with pens, chewing gum, chap stick, and post it notes), and some trivia about his new home state, city, and country to read while waiting to distract him from being so nervous. The evidence section has pockets for him to include cards, letters, extra pictures, tickets, receipts, etc. I also put picture collages in the front and back covers because I am a chick and I enjoyed doing it.

A wrist watch

A book or newspaper

Please keep in mind that when you are sending something in the hands of another person that you should not burden him/her with too much #######. Luggage space is limited and there is a weight issue, too.

My other half will bring this notebook back with him so that we will continue using this (along with my matching one) for maintaining all our immigration stuff for the next few years.

I am gonna try to post the photos he took of his packet that he received in a few minutes.

Perú's K-1 embassy packet can be viewed in our photos.
