Hi -

I'm wondering if anyone here had a similar experience and if they can help us...my husband and i went in for our AOS interview and were stupidly not as prepared as we should have been (our marriage is bona fide but we do not have many of the documents requested proving our union (i.e. we are not on a lease, though we live together, etc.)

Anyway, we will better prepare ourselves for the next interview, however my question is how long will it take for them to call us for the second interview? The first interview was on March 8, and I am now concerned because we have purchased tickets to travel to Europe to visit my family at the end of June. I hope my husband will at least have conditional green card status by then. Is this wishful thinking or likely possible?

We live in the Bay Area, and our local USCIS office is in downtown San Francisco. I'm sure location and time of year play a part....can anyone share similar experience/give any advice?

Did you apply for AP to travel? Did he arrive on a K-1 visa as your profile says?
