How does my wife get her first 551; she entered USA on a K-1, we married, and now we are filing for permanent documents and status. But we need a 551 ASAP, to keep her Drivers License ... how do we get this, before her permanent documents arrive in 4 months?

According to the State I am living, she has 90 days to show the progress of status change application (I-797 for biometric appointment with the finger printing DONE stamp) to keep the driving license WITHOUT taking the the whole process again if she acquired it before I-94 expires. However this policy could be totally different. Check your state office and the will let, but you should find the NOT busy office to get the whole explanation.
