We just got back from Hawaii and it was lovely! Don´t risk by going anywhere out of the Us... you have time for that later. Enjoy your trip!

My husband and I went to Hawaii for out honeymoon as well! :) I think that is a good place to go on a honeymoon that is in the U.S.

She is coming from a Spanish-speaking country so why go on vacation to a Spanish speaking part of the US? My advice would be to go to an "American" city and give her a taste of US culture. Someone recommended Charleston, and I love Charleston. It is a very friendly and colonial city with beaches and nice folks. I plan to take my fiance there when she arrives. Maybe somewhere in New England? Maybe Washington DC? San Francisco? I'd avoid NYC.

If it was me planning the trip, unable to leave the USofA, I would consider Miami - nightlife, Latin food & culture, and it feels like you are in many different places. NYC is a great place to take a Colombian with the number of Colombian restaurants and shops located there. My Wife really wants to travel there when we get the chance. San Diego is also a fun city, but Las Vegas is probably the best when you consider cost, good Cuban eateries, the number of places to visit while being accessible on foot, and the climate should begin to warm up beginning in early April.

You also can't beat Hollywood/SoCal for being able to see what people travel the world over to see.

Here is Maritza (from Medellin), Leidys (Barranquilla), and Sofia (&Annie) (Cartagena).

Another thing to consider, in SoCal (also Miami), there are lots of Colombian festivals.

Go to the west coast of Florida, Sanibel Island has some of the most beautiful Beaches in the world. She will feel like home when it comes to speaking Spanish, sometimes I feel like a foreigner speaking the English. A lot of Immigrants here in Florida never learn to speak English all their lives.
