Hi Guys,

Is there anyone who applied visa for nanny or baby sitter from abroad to bring to US to take care of your new born?

If there is any, what type of visa is applicable? and how long will it takes?

Thank you for your help.

Mc

Welcome to the forum

Found this DOS link, through simple Google search, showing various temporary visas available, look for "au pair" visa.

Good luck.

The J1 visa is normally used...the applicant must be 18-26, with a HS diploma. The family agrees to pay the au pair the going rate, provide room and board and some time off AND to pay for some classes, typically at a community college throughout the year (or two). Normally one goes thru an au pair agency. All J1 applicants are subject to 214b (immigrant intent) and the family who hires said au pair cannot guarantee the return of the au pair.
