I am happy to hear everything is working out! I often wonder what would happen if something happened to my husband....nobody in his family speaks english, how would I find out if something happened to him? That must have been so scary for you. I have been through my own immigration hell, and this is what my husband told me once, "easy come, easy go" You guys are fighting for something that will be so worth it in the end, and that fighting has strengthened your relationship, I know it has with my husband. Good luck (L)

It takes some pre-planning ahead of time. I have several back-up native speakers that can translate both here in the US and in the local area that I can call. I keep them on speed dial. I may never need to call them, but its good to have that option in place if needed.

That's a great idea. Thanks

Well, first of all, congrats for your interview. Do not worry that much. As long as your fiancee is on medical assistance, she will be fine. It's more like a strong flu. She will be ok soon. My country (Brazil) has a lot of cases and cure is over 99.8%. Believe me, the waiting time for the the noa2 approval is worse than dengue. Just go ahead and prepare all paper work for the interview. No drama dude! Good luck :) :) :)

So very happy that Thu is doing better  My fiancee lives in Laos and her brother got Dengue. It wasn't the bad kind but it still took him 2 weeks to completely recover. God bless you both as I'm sure this was a very stressful situation for you. I was very stressed when my fiancee got malaria twice last year  Congrats on getting the pink by the way :dance:

I am so sorry to hear this... that must be really heartbreaking (((((( Do any of her relatives use computer? There should be VN speaking people who will be willing to help you out with translation so you can email them asking what's going on. If I were as desperate as you are right now, I would walk into the nearest Vietnamese restaurant and ask if anyone is kind enough to help out, maybe even with the phone call. Just a suggestion ... I hope that the nearest future brings you super good news about your fiancée.

How about a Nail Salon?

Actually everyone in this forum either is Vietnamese, or married/engaged to a Viet. There have been mutliple offers to help and the problem has already been handled and resolved.
