CASE TRANSFER TO CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER

I fear that if anyone applies for EAD/AP along with their AOS, their AOS case will get hosed.

I think there is some priority they are targetting to make sure people who applied for just AOS get approved first.

Idea is that EAD/AP allows for almost the same privileges as the greencard (Work and travel), and since it is valid for one year, CSC takes their sweet time to process the AOS case.

What do you think folks? Does this sound legit?

It sounds plausible. However, I remember a December filer who didn't file AP/EAD and still got transferred. Here's the link; http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/343245-december-2011-aos-filers/page__view__findpost__p__5261806

I know this topic is a month old but you didn't receive a reply so though I'd give it.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

Case transferred to CSC makes waiting time so loooong. But the good thing is in most cases, it doesn't require an additional interview if your spouse is adjusted from K1 visa.

I believe the waiting time can be 6-9 months.

7/31/2004 sent I-129F package to Vermont

8/3/2004 NOA1

8/23/2004 ONLINE APPROVED!!!!

8/24/2004 VSC sent package to NVC

8/30/2004 NVC received package

10/5/2004 NVC told me case has been forwarded via email

10/26/2004 Received package 3

11/8/2004 sent back pk 3

Things went beyond expectations. K1 was granted in 2005, but relationship failed.

===============================

After 5 years....

2nd K1 began:

1/20/2011 Sent I-129F

1/24/2011 NOA1

6/13/2011 NOA2

11/9/2011 Interview Visa Approved!

3/9/2012 Marriage

3/20 Sent AOS package

....

11/14/2012 AOS approved!

Highly doubt it. My wife just got ger GC approved yesterday and all that was filed for was the GC. No EAD or AP. CSC is just slow.
