Answer any q's truthfully. The question is to help assess behavioral risk to certain infections. A drug user (crack, meth etc) is more likely to contract HIV, HPV etc. It helps them recommend what shots you should be given.

I would like to share what happened to my husband. He was honest and thought he was doing the right thing. He told the doctor at his medical that he had used marijuana in the past but stopped now that he was a father. Without even testing him they banned him for two years. After 2 years he has to come back and be tested. It is sad to say that honesty is not the best policy. Now my son will live without his father for another 2 years, until he is 4 years old. I am still in shock...

This is one of the least accurate posts I've read in a while.

Crack users and meth users usually SMOKE their drugs, so it wouldn't affect their chances of contracting HIV or any other disease which is usually passed by contact with blood or other bodily fluids.

HIV is no longer an inadmissible disease.

The determination of which vaccines are required is determined by the CDC guidelines. These guidelines vary according to age and gender, but they do not vary according to the applicant's history (or lack thereof) of illegal drug use.

If he'd lied about it and the lie were later discovered then it would have been much worse. Material misrepresentation comes with a lifetime ban that isn't eligible for a waiver.

Honesty IS the best policy. Actions have consequences. Just because you might be able to avoid those consequences by lying about the actions is not justification for lying. The consequences are usually a lot more severe if the lie is discovered.

Hi, Does anyone know if the Embassy in London drug tests for UK citizens coming to the USA? And if so does marijuana use prevent someone from getting the visa? Thanks :)
