In some European countries, facing extinction (all of them).....Abortion then Artificial birth control will be restricted to woman who already have x number of kids. The urgency of self preservation will far outweigh individual rights when nations watch their neighbors collapse or become over run.

You missed the third option, politically motivated pseudo-religious entities who would like the legislature to proscribe what we can and cannot do. Personally, i'm a staunch anti-abortionist, however, I have no right to FORCE anyone to do anything. If someone is using abortion as a form of birth control, then some diversion and education program should be made mandatory but it is simple-minded to lay the problem at the feet of women. It takes two to tango so where are the mandatory vasectomy programs?

The Gov't paying people toi have more children is nothing new really we kinda do the same thing with the tax code.

Russia has increased it baby-payout as well.

These are first steps towards the very prediction I made.

YOu think it's insane, maybe it is but we are just now starting to see what happens to a declining work force due to the first wave of mass birth control users slip into their senior years and the young are too small in number to provide the care they have grown accustomed too.

I have a suspicion that men who crusade for anti-abortion laws are either in need of viagra themselves or are such poor mating prospects, that they just don't have a chance for a relationship with a woman.

Men who have families and children would not benefit, because their wives would not be so much into it anymore... and then there is financial burden of having more children. Attractive men would be weary too - even of not married, having a baby will cause a filing for child support.

The only men who will benefit are the ones who certainly can not have their own children, so that they can laugh at misfortune of others and get ahead in collecting more of material possessions. Alternatively, men who are poor mates but are desperate to procreate may hope that if they only get a chance to knock her up... she'll have to keep a baby, by law!

PS US can easily import people instead of forcing births... US can even get young educated people for free - all you have to do is pass the law that allows students who earned MS or PhD from a US university to stay in the country as LPRs. Voila, problem solved.
