Hello all,

I received my NOA1 on Jan 17th, requested an expedite, and submitted the docs through Congressman on March 1st. On March 7th, I got a letter from my Congressman saying "The VSC will expedite this petition based on humanitarian reasons".

Today I received another letter from the Congressman saying "....has been forwarded on for review and adjudication processing to an Immigration Serivices Officer (ISO).

If further evidence is needed, the ISO will request same by forwarding the Request for Evidence on to the petitioner. If no further evidence is needed, the ISO will make a final adjudication decision. An interim or final decision should be made within ten days from the date of the approval of the expedite request; however, if additional time is needed for background security checks, the case could be delayed longer. We have on control over that process."

Does anybody know how the expedite process works? What can I expect next? If I am not wrong, the positive review and adjudication process would result into approval of the case, and I would recieve the NOA2. When the case goes to NVC, would it still be processed as an "expedited" case or I'd have to request another expedite with the NVC?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

You will need top request an expedite for each stage- so again at NVC and again at the embassy.

Hey Optimistic_5,

I am considering submitting an expedite per my request also, I have quick question for you: per your "requested an expedite, and submitted the docs through Congressman", I thought the expedite is to be requested at each phase (UCIS, NVC, ..), did you request your application to be expedited with these agencies first, and then contacted your congressman for help? or did you start by requesting your congressman help to expedite and his office took care of contacting the respective agency?

Thanks
