1-29f was denied - Intending to just file I-130

So, my question is as follows.... I had originally filed a 129f however being that I actually did not follow the directions on the application and failed to submit my supporting documentation, it was obviously denied and they sent a notice to appeal. I will not be filing the appeal because i just intend on getting married next month come back and file the I-130 in early May. That I am thinking will not have any effect being that my 129f was denied correct? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I'm confused, how did you get to the interview without submitting any supporting documentation when you sent in your I-129. If you did that you would get an RFE. You said you were denied, so i'm assuming you went to an interview since you got a notice of appeal. Either that or you're leaving out a whole bunch of information. Also, if you plan to file an I-130, it will be denied also, if you haven't addressed the reasons why your I-129 was denied. Maybe you could give a little more background on what you did or didn't do and how far you got? Then you could receive more accurate information.

I applied for an 129f, it got approved, then I had to come back before it was finished and I applied for an 130 (we got married while I was there).

We got our NOA2 early this month, so I don't think having prior 129f files affects anything. Like the guy above me said though, you'll need to make sure you follow the instructions this time :).

Aug 20 2010 - NOA1 received.
Feb 08 2011 - NOA2 email received.
Apr 27 2011 - Interview attended at US Embassy, visa approved :D!
May 26 2011 - Arrived in the USA
Aug 02 2011 - Married!
Aug 24 2011 - Diagnosed with cancer
Aug 26 2011 - Applied for IR1/CR1 visa
Aug 31 2011 - NOA1!
Sep 03 2011 - Moved back to the UK
Feb 20 2012 - Wife flew back to the USA
Mar 03 2012 - NOA2!
Mar 23 2012 - NVC received file
Jul 15 2012 - NVC approved, sent to embassy

2012 - Approved, flew back to USA!

Sep 29 2014 - Applied for removal of conditions.

Apr 20 2015 - RFE1 on removal of conditions.

Matt,

No worries, and I can definitely as to why you might be confused. I was VERY naive and just simply submitted the application with NO supporting documentation. So I we have decided to just get Married and simply go the I-130 Route.
