How long can I leave on an I-131 AP?

I am filing for advance parole along with my adjustment of status. I think I heard that even with permission, you can only be gone a few days - and I'm not sure how many days it was.

I expect to only visit Canada once this summer before I receive my green card, so I would like to spend as much time visiting family as I am allowed to. But I can't find where it tells me how long I can be gone. "14 days" sounds familiar, but I don't know for sure - and of course it would be incredibly bad to overstay, as well.

Can someone direct me to this information?

There is no official time limit. You won't find this information anywhere. How long do you want to be gone? Who will be checking your mail in case of interview?

Oh good! That's a relief to know. I was only expecting to be gone 1-2 weeks. The trip would be in August so there is time to arrange for someone to help with mail.
