Just got back from the Social Security office, applied for the Social. (we have a K-1 Visa and were married 2 weeks ago, and are 1 month since she entered the US) I noticed on the review page it said "Legal Alien Allowed to Work", and they also put the SS card in her married name (we provided marriage certificate)

From what I've read since we haven't done AOS they shouldn't have done that (not complaining though!) but am curious about the working part. If they filed it wrong to where they say she can work, and we get the card and if it doesn't say she cannot work - will it be okay for her to get a job while waiting for the AOS to go through ?

They didn't file it wrong. The correct answer is legal alien allowed to work. Read the SS papers in the guide section.

She is allowed to get an SSN but she has to have an EAD or green card to use it. - she cannot use her SSN to work right now.

Of course they put the married name thats the name she uses. That is correct unless she did not want to use married name.

When your SS Card comes it will state: "Valid for Work Only With DHS Authorization"
