my lawyer said we will pass anyway, becasue we are real.

well, but personally, I really don't care anymore.

my dad is almost absent from my life except beating my mom.

My life is just suck, even I did nothing wrong, I always seems to suffer.

I wish I could die at this moment, I know it will gets better, but I just hate the drama one after another which I don't deserve.

I know that my husband and my mom would be upset, but I really can't take any drama anymore.

My lawyer said we have the rights to not drop the birthday party for USCIS.

It pissed me off is that my husband grabbed my phone and told me to ignore the phone call from USCIS.

I guess everyone just trying to kill me.

Well lawyers got big mouths, he/she is not the one applying for immigration matter. You are. If you are denied, he/she collects more money, so he/she doesn't care much. Sorry but I hope you pull through this situation.

fistly, we will tell our love story. my husband is really handsome, kind, caring and just adorable. we have so many things in common. we love new things, and we love hiking, fishing, classical rock, skiing. we have the similar character. we share the same sense of humor. we both are kind and that we will never betray our friends.Family is our priority. We are always there for each other. There will be no one love me more than him. When I was depressed, Mike always guide me out. His family accept me who I am.

we love each other and all our friends knows that for 2 years. we married half year ago, then we had our green card interview.

The officer said that we are approved. And we told him that we are going to his daughter's birthday tonight. we didn't prepare much. we have all the doc they have, the lawyer said we don't need to prepare, becasue we are real relationship

but when we just started the dinner, the officer called. I told him we are in the party, and I hand over the phone to my husband . he looks really pissed off, and walk out the restraunt. I followed him that he didn't tell anything. I was kind of shocked. I wait for a while. I went to his car and called the officer. and he told me that they are outside of our place. so I said we should come home and will talk to my husband first, the officer said I can drive his ford expedition( too big for me to drive, but I didnt tell him)

I talked to my husband. He said that he was offended by the officer. He said that he won't leave his daughter's birthday party because some bully asked him too. he said the officer said he had to, because he signed somethig. we don't remember signed something like that,

the officer called me again, I said I should take a taxi home. And officer have waited enough and said 5 min.

I told mike that I am going to take a taxi . He grabbed my phone and said he won't let me to go see two guys at night alone. he said we have human rights.

I heard my phone rang, but my husband said ignoring it. we drank some and went to relatives' place to sleep. we dranked a little too much and can't drive home.

anyway, I talked to my lawyer that she said it is ok, we should expect the visit.

My husband was really rich and kind of poor right now because the ecomy. He is still very pround and subboburn, I love him I always listen whatever he said, but I think this is a lttle too arrogant this time.

I don't want to pissed off the officer. what should I do?

Your whole story sounds fishy. Why would you have to sleep at relatives house even after the party? Why is alcohol being served at a child"s party? and couldn't ya'll just go see what the officer wanted and return. Or even invite the officer to the party to show him you are not lying. Your husband not allowing you to go was proof enough that he is hiding something.

Ditto, this is what I was saying...

The 'child' who was celebrating her birthday is 25. Whether or not alcohol was being served is moot.

OP, you keep repeating that your lawyer says you have nothing to prove, that you are in a real relationship and not to worry, that you don't have to prepare much, that your human rights were about to be violated. I don't believe any of what your lawyer is telling you is correct.

Now that you and your husband have refused to co-operate with USCIS, you can prepare yourselves to expect the consequences of those actions.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Jesus. How do you even get through children's parties without alcohol? And since when is not meeting with law enforcement officials proof of wrongdoing?

Yep, the instructions for the I-485 specifically outline the legal authority for them to make unannounced visits to your home, even after you have the green card.

Of course it is your right to refuse them entry. Where it goes from there, only time will tell.

I can relate with you on this (look at my timeline). We also had immigration officers visit us at home. The first time they came home we were not there. They came a week later & luckily i was home. They woke me up at around 7am. My husband was not home as he works at 4am. The officers were from homeland security.

What i can advise you is to go ahead and expect a second visit-or if worse maybe a second interview . DO LET them in. They showed me their badges and introduced themselves. Its not our right to get the GC, they have to prove that we really do qualify-and for your case & mine, that the marriage is legitimate. If your marriage is real, then there is nothing to worry about. That being said, in the end you want a GC, so i would suggest your husband understands that too and does what they require, and that means opening your door for them be it 6am in the morning. It will be worth it in the end.

That being said, roughly 2 months after my home visit, i finally got my 10yr GC. So just take heart, i know this is frustrating, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Trust me, i was there once.

The IO was probably accompanied by an ICE enforcement officer. They probably wanted you to come home because they wanted to inspect your home for evidence that you were actually living together.

Your husband had every right to respond the way he did. Simultaneously, he probably made your situation much worse. Immigration is not a "right", so he can scream "human rights" all he wants but it simply doesn't apply here. You and your husband asked the US government for a privilege. They asked you to prove you're eligible for that privilege by allowing them to inspect your home. Your husband basically said he wasn't going to cooperate with them, which is certainly his right. They now have enough evidence to deny your adjustment of status.

Your lawyer has been blowing smoke up your skirt. An IO can't read your mind and determine if your relationship is genuine. They need evidence to back up your claim. They apparently found something about your relationship that made them suspicious (your age difference, for example), and they wanted to conduct a home inspection to verify your claims. Your husband exercised his right to refuse. They may try another home inspection visit, but I think it's more likely they'll just deny the AOS. They don't like getting jacked around. Your lawyer wins in either case because now you'll have to pay him to file your appeal and represent you in immigration court.

Your husband drew a line in the sand. Immigration crossed that line. Now he has to be willing to accept the consequences. Nobody's rights are being violated here.

This is pretty much all you need to know. What baffles me is you allowing your husband to jeopardize this whole process. If he didn't want to go alone, if he thought this is a scam, he could have asked some of the family member with you guys, it's not like they asked for the stars, they have the right to pay you a home visit
