fistly, we will tell our love story. my husband is really handsome, kind, caring and just adorable. we have so many things in common. we love new things, and we love hiking, fishing, classical rock, skiing. we have the similar character. we share the same sense of humor. we both are kind and that we will never betray our friends.Family is our priority. We are always there for each other. There will be no one love me more than him. When I was depressed, Mike always guide me out. His family accept me who I am.

we love each other and all our friends knows that for 2 years. we married half year ago, then we had our green card interview.

The officer said that we are approved. And we told him that we are going to his daughter's birthday tonight. we didn't prepare much. we have all the doc they have, the lawyer said we don't need to prepare, becasue we are real relationship

but when we just started the dinner, the officer called. I told him we are in the party, and I hand over the phone to my husband . he looks really pissed off, and walk out the restraunt. I followed him that he didn't tell anything. I was kind of shocked. I wait for a while. I went to his car and called the officer. and he told me that they are outside of our place. so I said we should come home and will talk to my husband first, the officer said I can drive his ford expedition( too big for me to drive, but I didnt tell him)

I talked to my husband. He said that he was offended by the officer. He said that he won't leave his daughter's birthday party because some bully asked him too. he said the officer said he had to, because he signed somethig. we don't remember signed something like that,

the officer called me again, I said I should take a taxi home. And officer have waited enough and said 5 min.

I told mike that I am going to take a taxi . He grabbed my phone and said he won't let me to go see two guys at night alone. he said we have human rights.

I heard my phone rang, but my husband said ignoring it. we drank some and went to relatives' place to sleep. we dranked a little too much and can't drive home.

anyway, I talked to my lawyer that she said it is ok, we should expect the visit.

My husband was really rich and kind of poor right now because the ecomy. He is still very pround and subboburn, I love him I always listen whatever he said, but I think this is a lttle too arrogant this time.

I don't want to pissed off the officer. what should I do?

Your husband might have signed the authorization already. Be ready to be reinterviewed or another home visit. Get mad at USCIS officers won't help anything. I don't know there is a child's party where adults drink alcohol and were too drunk...

Please fill out your profile and give some more information. I would guess that you are filing to adjust status from a work, student or tourist visa because of the forum where you posted. But it's hard to tell exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

I will say that if an officer called and you refused to go, you could be in a tough spot. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish and the information you've shared, I guess that either you call to see what is going on, or you wait to hear from the office where you interviewed.

Why would you go to relatives to sleep, then say you couldn't drive home because you drank too much? It sounds like two contradictory excuses.

Yes, and it was a child's birthday party. I think someone drove them to relative.

Big age gap is surely a red flag and it results the home visit, and you guys are tough enough to offend the officers. Well be ready for the worst situation. Trust me, to be arrogant with government employees won't help anything. Good luck.

i checked the online status

vThe USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on March 7, 2012. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I don't know what is going on now.

A surprise visit by USCIS is relatively rare. It usually indicates they suspect fraud. When a surprise visit occurs, they are not looking for reasons to approve you, they are looking for evidence to deny your case. It seems kind of odd that they would show up at your house, not get in, and then just go ahead and approve you anyway.

Anyway, if they did approve you that's great. Maybe being together at the party was that last piece of evidence they needed to approve you. If not, it is unlikely to get another surprise visit now that the "surprise" element is gone. If they want to pursue this further, a second interview would be the more likely outcome.

Although home visits are rare, I seem to recall a lot of posts about them coming from people adjusting from F1 status. Not sure if that's just coincidence or not though.

Are you sure it was immigration who called and not a prank? It all seems a bit odd- you being told you were approved, and indeed the case status changing online, and telling the officer you wouldn't be home that night. Then them calling, and saying for you to get into a specific car (how did they know what car you guys have?), and telling you to take a taxi. Maybe someone didn;t want you at that birthday party?

My lawyer said that it is not the green card, it is the EAD.

If we came home that night, we don't need to go through this. I wanted to ask the officers busted into the door that night, but my hobby would pissed off.

Since we have a genuine relationship, there is nothing to worry. but now we just need to pay lots of money to the lawyer to solve this case.

I am just depressed, why something so easy turned into like this. I just spoiled him so much, I am always let him be the boss, now it turned back and haunts me.

It might have been a civil rights violation had they literally busted forcefully through your front door without notifying you or asking for permission to enter. USCIS showing up at your house requesting a permission to enter and asking you to come home from a party to check on the legitimacy of your marriage does not violate your civil - or human - rights, and though it's not a part of an average AOS/immigration case, home visits by USCIS do occur.

I agree with Penguin - the whole scenario seems very odd to me.
