What should i answe on ds-230 about my overstay since ididnot accrue unlawful presence.??

What should i answer on DS-230 for thr question have you ever been unlawfully present for over 180 days in accordance with the 3 year bar? Asso e of you know i droppedout of school due to pregnancy complications and my I-94 , I-20 and stamp on the passport all say d/s lizz cannon (one of the best immigration lawyers)said since i was not put on removal, ordered to appear after a ij or contacted buimmigration i do not accrued unlawful presence and i should answer no not that iam aware of. I am concerned that they could say i was lying. Well i am not aware that i accrued any unlawful presence. What do you guys think? What should i say once the consul asks why i said not that iam aware of ?what if they dont say anything until they sayi have a bar and i have to show them the memorandum from uscis stating that noi dont.

I actually did not hire her. She just helped me out and another lawyer gave me the same advice.

After your visa expired did you stay for more than 6months without it? Or did you go back to Brazil within those 6 months? If you went to Brazil within those 6 months or 180 days, then you're fine. If you did stay then I think you should tell the truth to the CO if asked, and say the reason, due to pregnancy complications, etc.

I will tell the truth but since i did not accrue unlawful presence if isay yes on the form iwillbe saying i did when i didnt. When he or she asks yes iwill say i was out of status but i dis not accrue unlawful presence on the purpose of a ban. I will not say no i was attending school because they know i wasnt.

Oh then you're fine. You don't have to worry about it. You stopped going to school for valid reasons. So, for the form you say no, and if the consul asks you, then you can say what happened. You'll be fine.
