Just finished writing a letter for my Senator

Since the USCIS received my petition on August 22/2011 and I still havnt heard from them would it really help to write to my senator?

And How long would it take for him to reply to me? Is it possible for him to ignore me and never reply back??

I am so frustrated right now Im losing my mind..

Anyway, Im going to send it tomorow morning but I just wanted to know if it really does help or if its possible for him to ignore me

I don't think it would hurt to try. What you might want to do is call their office, and they will direct you to a privacy form that can be found on your senator's website. Fill it out and fax it back, and then you should be assigned a case worker. I called my two senators and they said it would be 3 weeks before I was assigned someone. Then I called the representative from my district and was assigned someone within a day.

I just went on his website and printed out the privacy form, filled it out, and attached it to the letter..

It says on his website that I just need to send him these to his office in which he provided the address on his website..

Do I still need to contact the local office or should I just send it and wait for a reply?

it's normal for the 1-130 to take betweem 8 and 10 months,you could make a infopass appointment, you can e. mail to 1-130inquires.tsc@.gov

What is an infopass appointment? I never heard of that? and what do you say in the email?

Do not just write to your senator. Look up his website, and there you will find a release of information form which has to be filled out and emailed/faxed to his office. Follow that up with a phone call. That should help.

It says on his website that I should send the release of information to him with the letter so I filled it out and put that in the envelope as well.. Should I email it to his office also?

You can always scan the release of information and email it to his office. I prefer email/fax to snail mail as it gets there faster.
