I just lost 4 days in the estimates, something is slowing them down (CSC).

I don't think the guessimate based on inconsistent user inputs with insufficient sample size has anything to do with how fast or slow CSC works...

According to my own experience, Igor's list is not really accurate as it keeps jumping forward and backwards.

I wonder if they really expedite on humanitarian reasons?My wife requested expedite and they refused even without asking for any evidence. You can find my post about it Here.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe humanitarian reasons are based on the country or region experiencing severe famine, recent major natural disaster, etc, or if the country/region is a war zone.

Basically: If your spouse has to wait 5 months, she'll likely die or be tortured.

Basically: If your spouse has to wait 5 months, she'll likely die or be tortured.

I live in Pakistan. No famine and not really a direct warzone except suicide bombings every now and then, drone strikes by NATO drone air planes, random killings and kidnappings. Also, political unrest and violent protests and rallies every now and then against load shedding. (load shedding is a curse my country people have been facing for many generations). Imagine having no electricity for 12 to 16 hours a day and not being able to do anything without power. Living everyday in uncertainity not knowing when one could be blown in pieces. If this does not meet the guidelines of humanitarian grounds, which available category would you suggest?

I'm not saying these are worthy conditions for anyone and I'm sorry about your situation. But Peter Pan is correct, unless the situation has become far worse since you filed, you most likely won't get an expedite.

Basically, there has to be a documented, immediate threat to your life.

A lot of our spouses live in really dangerous, third world countries. My husband, for instance, runs the risk of being hit by a car every day he's alive down there in El Salvador (on my vacation last week we saw a dead man in the middle of the road who had been PULVERIZED by a car). Or, he runs the risk of being a bystander in gang violence. All I can do is trust that he'll look both ways when he crosses the street and stays out of shady areas. Otherwise, there's not much else we can do.

Sorry about your luck. Hope the time flies by for you, though.

im a bit perplexed as to how you came up with those dates. I tried to read thru the forums but i didnt seem to get it. Would you mind explaning how it may be done. Just like everyone else, good or bad, im so over anxcious that i can hardly bare it and any knowledge helps aleviate the torture of waiting.

BTW my case is for a i-130 going via the CSC.
