I did read. I am basically going to run a quick query to see how many members / posts that would populate the forum. If it looks good I will add it :).

Thank you for your response. We would greatly appreciate the sub-forum.

I know we will look good cause A LOT of us is here.

Bless.

i'd guess it would probably be fairly active, more so than a few other regional forums (i.e. europe, australia/nz, and certainly more than the india forum).

also, the current forum is loaded with topics in spanish - the yardies and other countries that don't speak spanish probably have a difficult time finding their country specific threads due to the heavy activity lately by the spanish speaking members of that forum.

eta: in short, i support this idea.

Looking at what is posted in the Jamaica Portal, there is about 3 posts per week on an average.

Trust me, I know about 100 Jamaican VJers who posts here regularly. Not to mention NEW members that have questions specific to their Caribbean islands. Then sum that up with the OTHER Caribbean islands and their members- Haiti (who posts alot here); Barbados, Trinidada & Tobago, just to name a few. I sincerely believe that the traffic would be a lot greater with MORE activity than before because we indeed have to filter the language barrier posts in order to find a post specific to our Caribbean counterparts to reply to posts and create threads. In addition, we can bond on a more common and Vj-personal level once unified in one sub-area. Furthermore, easier accessibility to the forum makes for more activity, and a more pleasant posting experience when we log on daily.

Thank you for your consideration.

I agree and this is written by one of the counterparts by which we share a forum currently. So even his expressed knowledge of the situation further proofs how in dire need we are pleading for such Caribbean sub-forum seperation.

Evidence once again MR. Ewok.

And please consider the members who voted here for the seperation.
