You filed I-129? That s a fiance visa petition.

So tell your fiance that he should NOT get any medical or vaccines done

the embassy will send him nd you an email with a list of approved doctors in Cairo an Alexandria that he can go to 2 weeks before his interview.

If he gets the shots early he might just have to get them again.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

I am pretty sure that this last statement is incorrect. If he gets them done now and can provide the proof, surely he could just hand in his vaccination record/history to the approved Doctors when the Embassy schedules his medical appointment? Does it not work like that in Egypt?

The problem is that there is no real sure way to know what vaccinations he will actually require without doing some serious research on the age appropriateness of certain vaccines.

No, you just sit around and pray for the NOA2!!!

It feels like forever.

Gather evidence needed for the interview.

But after you get the NOA2 hopefully things will be quick and you will have an interview within 2 months. Cairo was at 6 month wait for interview but they have sped things up now so I hope they keep people at around 2 month wait or less.

Good Luck

The attachment I posted has the cost of some of the medical. Also the shots can cost up to 150 pounds each.

So plan on 600 pounds and hope for 220 pounds!

togetherforever is absolutely right, the general rule to deal with us embassy in cairo -same thing with NVC- is to do everything whenever they tell to do so...the NVC e-mails will instruct u to do everything step by step...P.S add to the 220 pounds for the doctor fee another 85 pounds for x-ray

over & out

At The beginning so far of hopefully getting approval for 129-f...I was wondering.. should my husband to be need to go ahead and receive all the vaccinations that are requested now ..while he awaits in Egypt?

So, you filed a fiance visa but he's your husband? Did you marry or is it just an endearing term?

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.
