Also what other documents she requier to show..? Beacuse petitioner submit all orginal documents include AOS to NVC directly. So no orginal documents in hand & Only Photo copy available.

In Interview chklist why they require Petitioner Marriage certificate ? Because petitioner was submit orginals marriage certificate to NVC.

Shakil Yeasin,

Not sure about IR5 but here is it: Yes, as most of the originals are taken by NVC, the photocopies (even marriage certificate) would be suffice. From my observation so far, I think the most important thing for your mother would be to prove the relationship with the petitioner. Now in the checklist are you saying they are asking for your mothers Marriage Certificate? Usually the interview goes easy with parents and if an interpreter is required most of the questions will be related to your mom and the petitioner. Unless a concern is raised, it may stick to basic questions like

1. Who is the petitioner and what is the relationship

2. Ask for pictures (with petitioner) and then ask questions like DOB of the petitioner, if petitioner is married information about wife or kids,

3. If it goes more complicated, they may ask little more personal information about the petitioner (e.g. current address, what does s/he do, where does s/he work, how long are they living there, when did s/he went to USA and so on)

As I said, these interviews are not as complicated as the IR1-CR1, but your mom should be prepared with these basic questions. Also, her statements must be in sync with what you have submitted with the forms (I-130) and subsequent documents you submitted to NVC. In case there is a slippage or a mismatch and if Mom is corrected on the spot tell her not to get nervous, rather she could accept the mistakes.

I hope I could provide more helpful information.

Good luck for your mom.
