Hi VJ members...

I am a newbie here and glad to meet you here. I really need some help about some information. I and my Fiance is preparing to process K1 soon. But I was wondering about him since he doesnt have job here because he is going back to school. But he has money in his bank account. Do you have an idea How much money minimum he must have in Bank. He stay alone now,divorce and has a daughter above 19 but she stays in her mom.It is ok also if when we apply for tax report, we just show them for last year (He didnt pay tax because didnt work) or 2 or 3 years last before which he still had hob at that time.

Depends which Consulate you will be going through.

the guideline for family of 2 is 1.5x poverty level. which he has to prove about 18,200 in income. now each consulate will take things differently. bank money is good but is always best to show job, also last years tax records is above this it will be good, or if he graduates and shows current income of the minim that will be good also. delivering pizzas will show income just no job you might need a co sponsorship to meet minim income. :thumbs:

He is going back to school for medical field now and will be finish next year. He has to plan get part time job after this semester in hospital. I heard that 3 or 5 times from poverty guideline that we must show to proove that he can be a sponsor to me and I think he has them. I hope it will go smoothly. Thank you guys
