Do you both live in Belgium? That's why it got expedited probably.

My husband and I both live in England. I don't think it matters

where you live. They just got lucky!

The problem is you filed just before the new "USC living abroad" queue was created, and I'm really sorry for you about that. :(

But the truth is that yes, these cases now are approved in 2 weeks max.

EDIT: actually I'm thinking about another possibility: DCF still exists in the UK, right? Then maybe USCs who live in a country where DCF is still an option don't get to be put in the fast queue. Just an idea, I'll need to look into it.

But the truth is that yes, these cases now are approved in 2 weeks max.

I just came over on a tourist visa and didn't meet the filing

The only way would be to look into Igor's list, find all the cases that were approved in less than a month at USCIS (starting in October would be fine), try to find out if it was because of USC residing abroad or another reason (expedited case) by looking into member's profile and/or posts, and compare your list of beneficiary's countries that benefited from the fast queue to the list of USCIS international field offices.

The only reason I did not utilize DCF here in London is because
