Hello dear VJ members.

My wife applied I 130 back in April 2002 when she had green card and it approves in Jan 2006. My case sent to Islamabad embassy on 19th September by NVC.I call few days ago to embassy status of my case. They told me that my Priority Date is not current they are processing 2001 dates at the moment.

My Preference Category is F2A and Priority Date is 05Jun2002.

Can any please tell me how much time i have to wait when my priority date will come and what is the procedure of priority dates ??

One more question is about AR. Are all men go through AR ???

sorry if anyone did not understand my question clearly.

Thanks in advance.

Zaki,

I cannot tell you how much longer you will have to wait on your priority date. I am not sure anyone on VJ will be able to tell you how long it will take on this question.

AR is Administrative Review

AP is Administrative Processing

Almost all men undergo either one or both of these processes coming out of Pakistan. I have only seen one man get 19 days of AR/AP and he was a dental student. All others are averaging around 6 months or longer.

You can join us in the regional forum and in the off topic forums if you wish. Good luck on the remainder of your journey.

Mary
