it's rather sad to see this thread turn into another version of the blue box thread. it used to be a thread where there was discussions amongst the members about various topics, quite lively even. now it seems to be nothing more than a post boosting thread full of one line pearls of wisdom that add nothing towards creating a discussion amongst the members of vj.

the below link is the original iteration of this thread.

Charles, are you stating an opinion or contributing to a discussion? unsure.gif I'm not wondering why this thread has lost its way. tongue_ss.gif

I would, but I'm not a quitter. ;)

I just wish to know if someone knows about Portland..I have young family members moving there and it is sooooooooooooooooo far from me.

Is it nice? Safe? Harsh weather?

Hempville?? :help:

And thought maybe someone knows, or lived there and would share.

Peace :star:

OH and Charles if you wish to get out of your heatwave...San Diego is highly recommended...smile

A total of about 40 inches of rainfall (includes rain, snow, hail, etc.) is Portland's mean annual precipitation. We have four months of very rainy weather, four months of 50-50 rainy days, and four months of very dry weather. Here are the rain numbers:

Fifty-five percent of the rain comes in four months: November, December, January, and February.

Another 32% comes in March, April, May, and October.

In the other four months (June, July, August, and September), Portland receives five inches of rainfall.

The Portland area is very nice. I would move to Oregon in a heartbeat if I could. I love it there.
