Just got a text not 5 minutes after my last post that our case status had been updated. WooHoo, we're in card production now!!!!

Ours was transfered within days of Chicago getting the application I realized later, but we didn't get the notice until Dec 16th.

Congratulations!! :star: Just now saw that you got your approval. I know you've been waiting a long time.

Congratulations!! :star: Just now saw that you got your approval. I know you've been waiting a long time.

We've gotten 4 update texts so far.

1 Card in production July 9th

2 Welcome letter generated July 9th

3 Card in production July 10th

And number 4 just in today - card in the mail July 11th

I hope that last one isn't like a "the checks in the male" claim

I've heard there's one more text which is when the card has been delivered. But we'll probably be doing the happy dance around the green card before we get that.

Isn't it funny? You don't hear from them for months and then suddenly they won't stop contacting you.

Congratulations to everyone who has received their AOS! We emailed a request to our congressman Monday to see what up with our case. We received an email back today with the USCIS email attached they said we should be hearing or seeing something in the next 45 days. I hope it's sooner.

Our 45 days turned out to be about 6 I think when we got that notice back through the congressional aid. The aid had told me usually he's seen feedback from USCIS within 4 or 5 days, but we did have the 4th of July holiday in the middle of things to. I hope you get a similar reaction from USCIS.

Welcome letter and card received today. Out of the waiting game for a year and nine months now.

I was just thinking about how long we've stressed out and been waiting since we first filed. Filed for the K-1 in March of 2011. For a year and 4 months we've been in some part of the process, either preparing, filing or waiting and worrying. It will be so nice to have that behind us for a while. :)

Good luck and good speed to all still waiting. It seems like forever, but eventually it will be done. For a while now we can just enjoy being married and loving each other.

Mine too! It feels great to have it in my hand at last. No more USCIS for a couple of years! (minus 3 months).

Good luck to everyone still waiting, and remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil (at least that's how I see it).
