I can't believe I'm still waiting for my green card!!!! if you look at my timeline, it's been over 7 months now (almost 8). I called USCIS but as always, they give me the same "your case is still on the normal processing time" answer! This is really frustrating. :crying:

They lie pretty badly on the customer service line. They tried to fill me with lies on my last call to them. Saying all AOS go to California where you wait, then go to your local where you wait on your local time. What a bunch of utter BS. Even the letter they sent shows this to be a lie. I'm honestly at the point of believing that the customer service department intentionally lies to get you off the phone. Say anything, just get them off the line must be their directive. We've got both a congress woman and senator looking into our case now. I'm hoping that will kick them into finally pulling up our application and working on it.

i know, right. i used to be a call center agent for a telephone/internet company, so i basically know how representatives deal with calls, just as long as they give answers to callers' questions, that's fine, doesn't matter if it's true or not. i hope they don't do that kinda stuff coz they're working for USCIS for crying out loud! btw, how do you get in touch with a congressman or senator??

Your senators and congress person will have a .gov web page with contact information. Use the links below to find out who they are. You won't actually talk with your congressman or senator, an aide will do the work of contacting USCIS. They need you to fill out a release form before they can act on your behalf. Usually you can get the form from their web site.

We heard back from our congresswoman's aid yesterday who put in an inquiry for us. Supposedly my wife's application is in the last steps and we are supposed to hear something within 45 day. Although he said usually when he gets that particular response from them, something happens within 4 or 5 days. We'll hope so, we want out of this waiting game for a while.

Hello Caryh please keep me posted if you have any progress in your application. I am from MN as well and my application is still pending. Got my EAD 2/16/2012 and case has been transferred to CSC, no updates ever since! :( This is ridiculous!

Sounds like you're right there in the same ignored box as we are. My wife got here EAD a week or two before you. We were hoping getting a contact from our congresswoman would kick them into doing something. But at of today, no more news other than our last update of within 45 days. I will definitely update here when something finally happens.
