After all my stressing about my I-130 not being delivered, I received our NOA1 email notification last night! Phew! Guess you can't rely on the postal tracking services as much as I thought.

Now the waiting game begins... We might get expedited because we are both living abroad, but it isn't clear whether it happens for couples living in the UK since DCF still exists here (though I have been told I'm not eligible for it). We'll see!

oh wow congrats  ..finally the USCIS received your I-130 :) ...if you sent an EMS package to another country, you should check the tracking number on the receiver's EMS Country website ..usually they will update it faster :) ..when your package arrived in the US, you should check the tracking number on USPS website :) ..

oh wow if you living in the abroad and apply for expedite, it will be faster for you to get NOA2  .one of the March Filers got his NOA2 8 days after NOA1..

Good Luck :)

truthfully besides me who checks online everyday for a NOA2 miracle

Well of course I do no shame in that. Don't trust their text or email message since I requested it on the G1145 and still have got nothing. Just the I-797 Hardcopy. And I sure been watching the last few months and since December have seen couples approved in 7 to 10days. Why, who knows and they weren't not DCF or expedite filing. Or USC leaving abroad. It was just one of those blessings. So I have to believe many here will get the same. I mean we are March filer blessings.

i sent in the G1145, got the email. but the Hardcopy was 2 weeks later. vermont almost when on speed dial. I think the reason some get approved so fast, is the back ground check goes very quickly for them. I found an interview on this site with an exworker and it sounded like he was saying the forms need to be correct

first. then the the names are checked, if one comes back as a possible criminal then the information is checked to make sure filers are not these people. I googled my name and found 2 people with the same names and they were questionable. but i do not worry as the saying goes all comes out in the wash

Okay really. Looked at Igor's chart (http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=1&option=3&sortby=2 ) and looking at just March filers here. There were 7 couples filing in March (yes 2012 our month) and they have already been approved. All at CSC. WOW how does this stuff happen so fast. And from all different countries. All IR1/CR1 But this 8 days goodness now

I am one of those March filers that was approved in 8 days, but there is a catch. You will find that most of the people who have received approval have their spouse residing abroad with them. I personally don't believe there is an "auto expedite" queue for those residing abroad, I just think it comes down to the processing procedure. For example, if the USC is in a VWP country where there is no DCF option, then the officer at USCIS has to do fewer security checks and therefore approval happens quicker. For high risk or high fraud countries this is not the case even if the USC is abroad. Hope that makes sense. It seems incredibly unfair to me because I have my husband with me, and many of you who are waiting for months don't.

Hang in there. I hope and pray you all receive approval soon and be reunited with your loved ones.

USCIS Stage - 10 days total from package received to approved

03/09/12 - I-130 package sent

03/12/12 - package received

03/14/12 - NOA1 received via email

03/22/12 - APPROVED - NOA2 received via email - USC living abroad (8 days)

03/27/12 - NOA2 received in mail

NVC Stage - 34 days from case number to case complete - including messy RFE

04/17/12 - Case has arrived at NVC

04/27/12 - Case number received (25 days from approval)- sent DS3032 via email

05/02/12 - AOS bill received via email

05/03/12 - AOS bill paid via portal & DS3032 accepted

05/04/12 - IV bill received and paid. AOS bill appears as PAID.

05/05/12 - IV bill appears as PAID. Still waiting on replacement marriage certificate.

05/11/12 - DS230 and I864 packages (without marriage cert) sent to joint sponsor before being forwarded to NVC

05/16/12 - marriage cert sent direct to NVC

05/17/12 - I864 and DS230 sent to NVC overnight via fedex - received 05/18/12

05/25/12 - checklist for original marriage and divorce certificates - marriage certificate delivered to NVC

05/30/12 - divorce certificate delivered to NVC

05/31/12 - AOS package accepted - thrilled!

06/01/12 - CASE COMPLETE!!!!!! (email received)

06/07/12 - Interview Date Assigned

06/08/12 - emailed Sydney IV to request earlier appointment - approved 07/03/12

07/11/12 - INTERVIEW DATE - APPROVED

10/06/12 - POE LAX (then onto Seattle)

121 DAYS FROM PETITION TO APPROVAL
